# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The contrast between creamy, tangy yogurt and bright, juicy fruit feels like you're treating yourself, but it's genuinely good for you.
  • You can make it in under five minutes, which means you can actually eat a real breakfast even on rushed mornings.
  • Every layer stays distinct if you time it right—no soggy granola regrets.
02 -
  • Granola absorbs moisture—if you assemble this more than five minutes before eating, the granola will soften into the yogurt and lose its crunch, which defeats the entire purpose of including it.
  • Slice the banana last; it oxidizes quickly and will turn an unappetizing gray if it sits around exposed to air for too long.
03 -
  • Room-temperature fruit tastes better than cold fruit straight from the fridge—pull everything out five minutes before you assemble.
  • If you forget and your granola gets soft, pour out most of the yogurt mixture, add fresh yogurt and granola, and start over; nobody ever has to know.
